- Economic Development Advisory Services. Our Economic Development Services provide the technical assistance required to access and manage a myriad of sophisticated but essential economic development finance tools required to successfully undertake important economic development projects and initiatives.
- Real Estate Development Finance Services. We assist projects to creatively access a variety of economic development finance programs and incentives to maximize project efficacy and the minimize project risk. Such programs include the U.S. Department of Treasury’s New Market Tax Credits and Opportunity Zone programs, the U.S. Department of Interior’s Historic Tax Credit Program LINK, HUD’s 221(d)(4) and 220 LINK multi-family insurance programs, among others.
- NMTC. We have significant specialized experience and expertise in the intricacies of the New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC). We have accessed the NMTC to help finance important community economic development projects across the country.

- Real Estate Investment Fund Management. We partner with both private and public sector sponsors to organize, capitalize and manage real estate oriented, U.S. Department of Treasury designated Opportunity Funds. For example, we serve as Fund Managers to the Renaissance HBCU Opportunity Fund, a federally designated opportunity fund targeting major economic development on or near the campuses of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). - NMTC Portfolio Management. We control and manage the Renaissance New Markets Fund (RNMF), a U.S. Department of Treasury designated Community Development Entity. RNMF recently collaborated with a major national bank to access the NMTC program to provide flexible below market rate financing to important community economic development projects in Texas LINK and Alabama.
- Community Development
- Hospitality Financing REP believes hotels to be major catalysts for job creation, community revitalization and minority economic development. The REP team has substantial experience using community development finance tools to attract non-traditional debt and equity capital to finance the development of hospitality projects.
- Campus Development & Revitalization REP has partnered with the HBCU community Development Action Coalition to provide America’s 105 Historically black colleges with the technical assistance and access to the financing tools required to implement strategies both to improve the physical conditions of their campuses and to launch comprehensive community development initiatives to revitalize the often blighted neighborhoods surrounding their campuses
- Neighborhood Amenity Financing REP recognizes that just as mankind cannot survive on bread alone, healthy neighborhoods cannot thrive on housing alone. REP’s principals have established a strong record of accomplishment of assisting municipal officials, housing developers and neighborhood leaders to develop innovative financing strategies to attract much needed goods and services such as grocery stores, health care facilities and bank branches to ensure that their residential projects and neighborhoods become “Communities of Choice” rather than mere collections of housing units.
